JW vert
As great Sauvignon Blanc always begins in the vineyard, our unique location in Lake County’s Upper Lake produces fruit that is perfectly reflective of our ideal terroir. We are able to grow to a variety of styles of Sauvignon Blanc and winemaking goals. Our fruit does not exhibit the overwhelming vegetal characteristic common in the grape from many other parts of the world. Our vineyard benefits from the cool evenings and warm days present in the region. Frequently, we experience diurnal swings of 40, even 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the growing season. This allows us to achieve excellent flavor balance, acidity, and ripeness. Nicely aromatic and crisp, our Sauvignon Blanc fruit exhibits citrus to tropical fruit notes all while remaining true to the varietal and the vineyard.
